AERTiCKET AG’s shareholders

Travel agencies, chains and portal operators are competitors on the market. However, as shareholders of AERTiCKET AG, they are united by the common interest of being part of a well-positioned consolidator which is able to provide an attractive range of services, a good price-performance ratio and competent services. In addition, each travel agency has the opportunity of being an indirect co-shareholder of AERTiCKET AG by becoming a member in AER e.V.

Who are our shareholders?

AER Reisebüro Kooperation is a trade association network of independent travel agencies. The “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Europäischer Reiseunternehmen“ (Working Partnership of European Travel Companies) is proud of the fact that all of the 900 travel agency partners are at the same time owners of the cooperation, which was founded in 1987. Shareholder of AERTiCKET is the commercial branch of the cooperation AER e.V., the AER Reisebüro Kooperation Verwaltungs GmbH.

STA Travel GmbH is one of the largest providers of youth- and students-travel worldwide. The predecessor of STA Travel was founded in 1971 by the Australian Union of Students. Since changing the company name to STA Travel the company  has established -besides its offices in Australia and Great Britain- travel agencies worldwide. In the 1990-ies STA took over the Student Travel and Information Service in Germany. Today STA Travel is present in more than 90 countries around the world. Company head quarter of the STA Travel Group is London.

The VR meine Raiffeisenbank eG (formerly: Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Altötting-Mühldorf eG) is one of the biggest cooperative banks in Germany. Its business has been closely linked to AERTiCKET for years. VR meine Raiffeisenbank became shareholder of AERTiCKET in 2008 via an affiliated financial holding company.

Otto Freizeit und Touristik GmbH is represented in offline sales under the brand „Reiseland“ with around 370 travel agencies and is, with its online portals flug.de, travel-overland.de and travelchannel.de, among the leading German online travel agencies. Soon the shares of OFT will be passed on to the affiliated financial holding company of VR meine Raiffeisenbank.

ATR (Air Travel Reiseservice) GmbH is a medium sized Travel agency chain with 9 branch offices in Germany of which 7 are located in Berlin. Soon the shares of ATR will be passed on to the affiliated financial holding company of VR meine Raiffeisenbank.

For years the Management-Shares have been held by the three members of the management board Rainer Klee, Roland Kreling-Behmenburg and Uwe Zobel – and by Ilona Paschke and Dr. Annette Brandes, who are responsible for company strategy and investments as well as affiliated companies respectively.
