Rainer Klee

Rainer Klee has been a shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Management of AERTiCKET AG since its foundation in January 2002.

Previously he was the managing director and founder of the predecessor company AER Reiseservice GmbH for nine years. Rainer graduated in business studies from Mannheim in 1980 and then worked in several areas of business in Berlin, mainly as a freelancer and with other entrepreneurs. In 1988 he and five friends and acquaintances set up the Titanic travel agency, which is now Berlin's only remaining, larger mid-sized travel agency business. The consolidator AER Reiseservice GmbH was, so to speak, a spin-off of Titanic in 1993. And under its new company name ATR GmbH Titanic Reisen is still a shareholder in AERTiCKET AG. Rainer has completed several further vocational training courses, including as a coach and facilitator. Since the beginning of 2009, he has spent around half his time working in the USA as CEO of Picasso Travel Picasso Travel, a subsidiary of AERTiCKET AG.

 

Uwe Zobel, Vorstand Informationstechnologie bei der AERTiCKET AG

Uwe Zobel

Uwe Zobel has held the position of member of AERTiCKET AG’s Board of Management for information technology since September 2006. In this position Uwe Zobel is responsible for the operation and introduction of leading technology and functions for offer selection, booking and fulfillment to constantly extend and improve the range of products and services available to AERTiCKET AG’s customers. 

Most recently, Uwe worked as the project manager responsible for the introduction throughout the group of a virtual organizer for Otto Freizeit und Touristik GmbH – one of AERTiCKET AG’s shareholders. Prior to that, Uwe worked as Vice-President IT & Product Marketing at Travelocity Europe – a position in which he was responsible for both the functioning of individual websites in Europe and that of the associated technology. 

Uwe says that AERTiCKET AG’s stated aim is to continue expanding in the area of technology by providing and introducing competitive tools.

 

Roland Kreling-Behmenburg, Finanzvorstand der AERTiCKET AG

Roland Kreling-Behmenburg

Roland Kreling-Behmenburg has been Chief Financial Officer of AERTiCKET AG since the company was founded in 2002. He began his career as a free-lance management consultant and then became financial director of STA Travel GmbH.

After attaining a degree in politics and history from Marburg, Roland completed a vocational training course as a bookseller and then managed a bookshop in Marburg. He then went on to train as a quality management officer in Essen – before beginning, and eventually completing, a degree in business studies in Marburg and Kassel. 

With the sustainable financial policies he has introduced, Roland makes sure the company remains on a solid financial footing, which is the foundation of our technological innovations. It is also thanks to him that AERTiCKET AG enjoys an extremely positive rating. His innovative risk and quality management system has enabled AERTiCKET to further reduce the risks naturally inherent in the consolidator business and further improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the company.

 

Charles T. Julien

Charles T. Julien joined the AERTiCKET Board of Management in the Fall of 2011. His responsibility encompasses international projects and controlling for the Group’s international entities. Although he was born in the United States, Charles has spent more than the last quarter of a century in his adopted home of Germany. AERTiCKET has been his entry into the travel industry. He brings almost 30 years of multinational experience in the areas of finance, controlling, legal, cross-cultural communications and operations to the AERTiCKET Group.

Charles received an B.A. from U.C.L.A., a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird, and an M.B.A. from E.S.A.D.E.  After having held various finance-related positions in France, the U.K., Spain, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the U.S., Charles left his long-standing position as CFO of a market-leading software manufacturer to join the AERTiCKET Group. Charles is the cultural chameleon within the Group’s Board of Management and he carries the responsibility for the integration of new subsidiaries into the AERTiCKET Group, as well as for their seamless, profitable and professional operations.

 

Jttka Zimmermann

Jttka Zimmermann has managed AERTiCKET’s HR department since the Group’s creation in January 2002. In April 2011 she was promoted to the position of Head of Operations and Head of Sales. After having done an apprenticeship as a travel agent, she began her studies in business administration in Berlin.  She simultaneously gained hands-on work experience with AER Reiseservice GmbH (the predecessor of AERTiCKET) while she was still a student.

Following graduation, she took over human resource management and development. She is active as an adviser to our Managing Board, as well as for the executive management.  Her primary focus is on human resource development, followed by organizational development throughout the AERTiCKET Group.

Jttka's responsibilities encompass education, advanced training and certification for our employees.  In addition, she is heavily involved in the preparation, organization and management of training courses. In addition to her professional responsibilities, she has successfully completed several series of professional development courses herself, and she has become certified as a coach and facilitator.
